Orienteering

Students participated in Orienteering at Darebin Parklands. The Year 10 and 11 group navigated through lush greenery and winding trails using a map to locate 20 of a possible 30 control post locations. The weather was fantastic and students came across a myriad of flora and fauna, including a turn of turtles and a flock of ducks.

Bushwalking

For many of the students, this was their first time bushwalking and camping. The bushwalk began by exploring Hanging Rock, also known as Mount Diogenes, and then hopped to Trentham, Blackwood, and Daylesford, setting up overnight at Wombat State Forest & Lerderderg State Park. Highlights included the mineral springs, cooking and sharing meals and roasting spores over the campfire.
