A message from Jodie Purches

Reservoir High School vs Reservoir Police Basketball Match – August 28th

Reservoir High School is excited to once again host the Reservoir High School vs Reservoir Police Basketball Match on August 28th. Now in its second year, this event continues to promote a powerful message - breaking down the barriers between students and police, and showing that police are people just like you and me.

Since early May, a dedicated committee of students, staff, Rotary members and police has been working behind the scenes, meeting every Thursday at lunch with clear agendas and goals. It has been a privilege to be part of this committee and to see our students grow in these leadership roles, confidently contributing and leading discussions.

A special mention goes to Ruby Newitt, Mary Fuchiwaki Rose, Jomore Adem, Cameron Runciman, Liv Bambry, and Aiyanna Brathwaite for their consistent commitment and outstanding leadership.

Meanwhile, Mr Forbes and Mr Cicitta, supported by Luke and Dane, from the Darebin Basketball Association and students from the committee, have been running tryouts for both a fun and a competitive team. The enthusiasm from students has been fantastic as they aim to make Reservoir High School victorious again.

We are also looking forward to welcoming representatives from the Victorian Police Force, the Reservoir High School community, and local Grade 6 students, helping to strengthen community connections.

This promises to be a fantastic day—let’s get behind our teams, celebrate our community, and show our school spirit.

Go Reservoir High School!
