Year 9 Advance Class News
The Year 9 Advance students recently visited Latrobe Retirement Village, accompanied by Ms Scott and Mr Gayfer, for a morning filled with stories, laughter, and plenty of PowerPoint slides!
Students shared presentations about their lives, including their family backgrounds, cultures, interests, and future aspirations. Some confidently took centre stage and presented to a large audience, while others preferred a more relaxed chat around a table with residents.
The residents loved learning about the students, and there were plenty of smiles, laughs and questions throughout the morning. Students discovered that presenting to retirees is much less scary than presenting to classmates - and that residents are a very appreciative audience!
A big thank you to the wonderful residents and staff at Latrobe Retirement Village for making us feel so welcome. It was a fantastic experience, and everyone left with a few new stories, new connections and perhaps a newfound appreciation for the art of PowerPoint!
