Cross Country
Despite cold and rainy conditions, our Grade 6 students showed fantastic resilience during the cross country event. They pushed through the challenging weather with determination and a positive attitude, supporting one another and giving their best effort. We are incredibly proud of their perseverance and team spirit! Congratulations to the winners in each event.
Our Learning
Our Grade 6 students have shown incredible dedication and work ethic throughout the term. They have worked diligently in their knowledge-building units, developing a deep understanding of new concepts and confidently applying what they’ve learned.
They have also excelled in developing their mathematical knowledge. We have been blown away by how much faster they have become at recalling their multiplication facts. Some students have even shown great initiative by asking to take practice grids home over the holidays to continue improving. We are very proud of their effort, growth, and commitment to their learning!
Camp
We are all excited to be coming back from holidays and having our own mini holiday by going to Waratah Beach Camp on the first day back. You should’ve received the packing list and having the holidays means families have plenty of time to get organised. Please try to pack all the things on the list, especially the required bedding and a waterproof/ warm jacket. If your child requires any medication while we are away please make sure the medication form is completed and returned on the morning of camp all filled in. We will send a reminder note home on Thursday with last minute reminders.
Attendance
At Skye Primary School, we value every day of learning and work in partnership with families to support strong attendance, connection and wellbeing for all students.
As our Year 6 students prepare for secondary school, strong attendance habits are more important than ever. Being at school every day helps them make the most of their final year of primary school. Year 6 Attendance Rate: 92.8% (Well done Year 6!)
Happy Holidays!
As the holidays approach, we encourage all students to take the time to rest, recharge, and enjoy a well-earned break. We hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday, spending quality time with family and friends while also finding moments to stay curious and engaged in their learning. Whether it’s reading a good book, practising important skills like multiplication, or exploring new interests, a balance of relaxation and productivity will set students up for a strong start next term. Stay safe, have fun, and we look forward to seeing everyone back refreshed and ready to learn!
