School and Kindergarten Parents and Friends Association Meeting - Thursday 14th September - Cancelled

The next PFA meeting (General Meeting) on Thursday 14th September at 9am has been cancelled.  The next meeting will be Thursday 12th October at 9am in the Davey Building Conference Room (school administration building).  Please come along and share your ideas.

Miners Rest Primary School have set a challenge:

RAISE A MONTH'S SUPPLY OF LONGTIME MILK IN A WEEK TO SUPPORT BALLARAT SOUP BUS AND THE ROTARY CLUB OF BALLARAT!

The Soup Bus is currently experiencing higher than normal demand on their services.  One major increase is with long life milk. The Soup bus used to hand out 100 x 1L long-life milk, however this number has dramatically increased to 500 a month. This is due to the constant rise in the cost of living, which has seen the cliental shift from those experiencing homelessness to including the working poor.

We are asking all students and staff to donate a 1L carton of long-life milk during the last week of Term, and we will donate this directly to the Soup Bus.  If you are able to, please bring your long-life milk to your class so we can help those a little less fortunate in our community.

SpringFest Harness Racing Night - Thursday 26th October

Miners Rest Primary School and Kindergarten are beneficiaries of SpringFest 2023. SpringFest is back for 2023 and the first fundraising event is the Harness Racing Night.  It would be amazing if we could get a few tables of parents and friends to support those who support us.  Please pencil this date in and contact the office if you would like to book a seat or a table.

Second-hand Uniform Shop - Closed this Friday 15th September due to the early finish

If you have any uniform items that are in good condition, you are welcome to bring these along to the shop on a Friday afternoon or can be dropped into the school administration office any time.
