School Council

Over the past year, the Miners Rest School Council has been undertaking a review of the current school uniform. As part of this review, we have considered a number of parent recommendations and submissions from uniform suppliers. We have also considered cost, quality, availability and the needs of our students, which has seen changes kept to a minimum. 

To ensure that our uniform meets the needs of our students and their families, we are pleased to announce that we are adding a new polo shirt option to our uniform, which will be mainly navy with light blue and white accents. This change will hopefully help families with the cleaning and longevity of our uniforms. Both polo shirts will remain uniform, though production of the current style will be phased out. When these new polo shirts become available, we will notify the community via our newsletter and Facebook page. 

We are also adding a recommended (non-compulsory) hat with our school logo. These are available for purchase now from the school office and will be available at the uniform stores in the future should you wish to purchase one. Two sizes are available.

Work continues to source a new beanie for release before the 2024 Winter, in the style of the very popular big freeze beanies. When this option becomes available, we look forward to sharing this with our community.
