Parent Committee News

Our Parent Committee is a group of parents who come together to provide opportunities for fellow parents to meet one another and participate in the life of the College. It’s not about fundraising, but what can be done to support students and bring parents together.

Headspace Seminar

On 19 March, Jenna, the Community Engagement Officer from Headspace presented an interactive seminar with information about the support and services available for young people. Thank you to Jenna as those who attended were able to gain an insight into a valuable service to support students and their parents regarding mental health. Year 7 Parent Dinner

On 27 March, our Year 7 Parents had the opportunity to catch up and meet other parents. This was organised by Inoka from the Parent Committee on the same night as the Year 7 Social. The Parent Committee are pleased that parents and carers who attended had an enjoyable evening. Thank you to Inoka for organising this event.

Upcoming Events 

Mother’s Day Breakfast - Wednesday 7 May 2025

This year, the Parent Committee is pleased to host the Mother’s Day Breakfast on Wednesday 7 May 2025 in honour of all of the mothers, grandmothers and significant female role models in the lives of our students. The breakfast will take place in the Xanten Performing Arts Foyer from 7.15am to 8.15am.

This is a booking only event as numbers are limited. RSVPs are essential for catering purposes. To ensure we receive an accurate indication of numbers, please also include your child when booking. Managing Online Behaviour - Wednesday 11 June 2025

The Community Police. The seminar will be presented by the Community Police on Wednesday 11 June 2025 from 6.30pm to 7.30pm in the BP Forum. The presentation includes information to support parents and carers in preventing and managing safety challenges that their child may face, as well as guiding their child to understand these and feel empowered to take action.
