Families will soon be notified of access Interim Reports via the ‘Reports’ tab in SEQTA Engage. These reports offer a valuable opportunity for students and parents to reflect on progress made throughout Term 1 and consider strategies for growth in the term ahead.
As a progress snapshot, Interim Reports do not include marks or grades—these will be shared in the Semester One Reports at the end of Term 2.
A note for Year 7 families: the Term 1 rotational elective subjects do not appear on this report. Instead, they will be included in the Semester One Report. Year 7 students will begin a new rotation of elective subjects in Term 2, with new courses and teachers.
The first round of Parent/Student/Teacher Interviews for 2025 will be held on Monday, 28 April, from 12.00pm to 7.00pm. This day will be a Home Study Day, meaning students do not attend regular classes but are expected to accompany their parents to interviews, dressed in full College winter uniform.
These interviews provide a valuable opportunity for parents and carers to engage in more detailed conversations with subject teachers about student progress. Where teachers have specifically requested an interview on the Interim Report, it is important that every effort is made to attend, so that effective strategies and supports can be put in place for the term ahead.
Interview bookings are made through Edval Interviews, and an email will be sent to all parents and carers with instructions, including a unique log-in code and a direct link to the booking platform. (If you have not received the email, please check your junk or spam folder.)
Each interview will run for eight minutes, with a two-minute transition period between bookings. Bookings will close at 12.00pm on Friday, 25 April.
Please note that each teacher will have 36 interview slots available on the day. However, as many teachers teach over 100 students – some up to 150 – we kindly ask that parents book only one interview slot per teacher per student, even if the teacher covers multiple subjects. If you are unable to secure a booking, you are encouraged to contact the relevant teacher(s) directly via email or Direqt Message to arrange an alternative time for a conversation.
If you experience any difficulties accessing Edval Interviews, please contact the College Office once it reopens at the start of Term 2. Please note that the College Administration will be closed from Friday, 11 April to Friday 25 April.
We look forward to continuing the partnership with you to support your child’s learning journey.
Families are advised that the next round of OLNA (Online Literacy and Numeracy Assessment) will take place during Term 2, 2025, with the testing window running from Monday, 5 May to Friday, 23 May.
The OLNA is a requirement of the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) and is designed to assess the minimum standard of literacy and numeracy required for secondary graduation. Students who did not meet the standard through Year 9 NAPLAN will be required to sit one or more components of the OLNA in Reading, Writing, and/or Numeracy.
Families will be notified via email if their child is required to participate in this round of testing. These students have been receiving support and preparation through their regular classes, with additional assistance available where needed.
We encourage all students sitting the OLNA to:
Attend school on time and well-rested on testing days
Ensure their MacBook is fully charged
Approach the assessment with a positive mindset
Seek support from their teachers if they have any concerns
Results from this OLNA round will be communicated to families later in the term. For students who do not meet the required standard, further opportunities to sit OLNA will be provided in subsequent rounds.
If you have any questions regarding your child’s participation in OLNA or the preparation process, please do not hesitate to contact the relevant Head of Learning Area.
Thank you for your continued support in ensuring all students meet this important WACE requirement.

A reminder that all students commence Term 2 on Tuesday 29 April after the Parent/Student/Teacher Interviews on Monday 28 April. Students areto arrive impeccably presented in Winter Uniform for the commencement of Term 2 on Tuesday 29 April. This means polished shoes and clean uniforms, including blazers in excellent condition. Girls need to ensure their winter skirt length is on the knee given that they may have grown over the summer and for boys to ensure they have not outgrown their shirts and can still do their top button up under their ties. We ask for parental support to ensure that your son or daughter tries on their uniform with plenty of time to get any issues rectified or purchase new items, if necessary, prior to the commencement of Term 2. Students and parents are reminded that hairstyles should be conservative, neat, tidy, of natural colour and shoulder length hair should be tied up. Student are not permitted to wear any make up and to not have their eyelashes enhanced. Nails are to be kept short with no acrylics or nail polish. Students are permitted to wear the following jewellery: up to one pair of small plain silver or gold sleepers or studs in the lower ear lobe, one silver or gold chain, a Christian religious symbol on their chain, and no other jewellery. Please check the College Diary for more details.
May we also take this opportunity to once again remind parents to label all uniform items with their child’s first name and surname. At the end of each term, we have a number of articles of clothing, bags, caps, sport bags, shoes and water bottles in Lost Property not labelled and not claimed.
Parents are reminded to check their child’s College Tracksuit as well as their Winter College Uniform.
