VET Focus of the Week

Cookery Certificate II at Ranges TEC

 

Students in Years 10–12 can complete a Certificate II in Cookery at Ranges TEC alongside their VET Vocational Major. Delivered in purpose-built trade facilities, the program provides hands-on training in hospitality.

 

The course opens pathways to traineeships, apprenticeships, and careers such as chef, waiter, or hotel and resort management. Students also build essential employability skills—communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and initiative—while gaining practical, job-ready experience.

 

Students who enjoy practical work, teamwork, problem-solving, and using their hands find this pathway especially rewarding.
