Father's Day Stall

Taking Care of Business at the MECS Father’s Day Stall

Over the last two terms, our Year 11 Business Management students have been busy transforming classroom learning into real-world action—by creating their very own products to sell at the MECS Father’s Day stall.

From brainstorming and market research, to pitching their ideas to an expert panel, to finally producing and selling their goods—the students took on the full business journey.

On Tuesday 2 September their hard work paid off. A fantastic range of products hit the stall, including a range of yummy baked treats, personalised mugs and t-shirts, and custom-made rings from recycled spoons. Students initially aimed just to break even—but instead, walked away with a profit! Even better, a portion of these earnings will be donated to their chosen charity.

This hands-on project gave students a chance to showcase their entrepreneurial spirit and apply their business know-how in a practical and rewarding way.

A huge thank you goes to staff who supported the process and to the families who came along and supported the stall. We hope the gifts brought plenty of smiles on Father’s Day!
