CSEN Volleyball Championships

On Tuesday the 2nd of September, we sent a Senior Boys (Years 10-12) and Senior Girls (Years 10-12) Volleyball teams to the CSEN Championships Day. The day which is held at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre provided some exceptional Volleyball and our students were involved in providing many of those moments. After a hard fought group stage, the boys made their way into the quarter final against one of the top ranked teams. They played exceptionally well and took the game to a deciding set to fall agonisingly short, but it was a great credit to the team to do as well as they did.

The girls were on song all day and made their way through the group stage, the quarter final and the semi final without dropping a set! The grand final was set and it was going to be a tough game. They took the first set with some confident game play, but surrended a lead in the second set after having 3 match points. They regrouped in the 3rd set, took the lead and never looked back finishing the day as the CSEN Volleyball Champions!

All students represented the school well and were a joy to have involved in the day. Well done everyone!
