I am part of the Year 9 Melbourne Victory School of Football program at Dandenong High School. This program is very good, and because of this program, I have improved in a lot of areas. Not just soccer, but also in the classroom.
This term, we ran a Gala Day for Grade 6 students at our school. We had 2 schools come, which were Dandenong West Primary School and Woorana Park Primary School. Hosting this Gala Day for the Year 6s was a very good experience for everyone in the Melbourne Victory program and for the Year 6s. During this Gala Day, we hosted soccer games, skill activities and fun games.
The Melbourne Victory program has made me excited to come to school. Whether I come to class for Melbourne Victory or theory, it has always been fun. When we have practice for Melbourne Victory, we do drills to help improve our skills and drills that we can use during the game, like passing. This program has helped me improve my leadership skills and my communication skills. I wish there was a Melbourne Victory program for Year 10s. Thank you to Sean and Mrs Hayes for this program and for everything they have done for us this year!

I’m a part of the Melbourne Victory program at Dandenong High School. This program is one of the best classes and is my highlight of secondary school, even though it only goes to Year 9.
A few weeks ago, we had a Soccer Gala Day where 2 primary schools came and played soccer for the whole day. The schools were Dandenong West Primary School and Wooranna Park Primary School. My highlight of the day was the 6v6, because it was fun for us and the kids really enjoyed it. My team won 6-3 and it was a very fun time, and we all got closer to the kids. Overall, the day was very fun and everyone was very happy with it. I wish all the best for the next Year 9 class to do their own Gala Day.
A special thanks to Sean, our coach, who took his own time out of his day to come to Dandenong High to teach not just our Year 9 class, but also the Year 7s and 8s.
To Mrs Hayes, thank you for supporting us to do our best. You made us come earlier to normal classes and believed in us. So that sums up my last term in Melbourne Victory. I'm going to miss it as I was in Victory since Year 7. It has been the best part of secondary school. To the Year 7s coming into the program, I hope you have as much fun as I did.
