I’m Zainab E and I’m really proud to be one of the SRC representatives in 2025. One of the things I enjoy most about being part of the SRC is getting to listen to people’s ideas and help bring them to life, whether it’s planning events, supporting fundraisers, or finding ways to make our school an even better place for everyone.

Since it’s only the start of the term, things have been a bit quiet so far, but our team has been discussing ideas for upcoming events. 

Last term was a busy one for some Darwinians. One of the highlights was our lunchtime fundraiser, where we sold noodles to raise money for charity. It was such a great success, and I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who bought something! Your support really made a difference, and it showed how strong our school community is when we all work together for a good cause. We’re also really proud to share that we raised over $2,300, which was more than last year’s total. A fantastic achievement! A special thank you goes to our amazing lunchtime helpers from Year 8 and Year 12, who worked so hard to sell the noodles and keep everything running smoothly.

Looking ahead, our SRC and HLT are starting to plan what we can do this term to keep our House involved and find new ways to support others. We’re also looking forward to the end-of-year activities and the summer holidays, which will be a great time to celebrate everything we’ve achieved this year together as a school community.
