YEAR 5 UPDATE

As we near the end of Term 1, it is pleasing to see that the students have settled into routines and are taking on increasing responsibility within and beyond the classroom. Keep up the good work.

MEET THE TEACHER

Thank you to all of the parents who attended our Meet the Teacher evening on Tuesday 10 March 2026. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect and discuss important aspects of school life at Deanside Primary School. For those who were unable to attend, there will be an opportunity to meet one-to-one with your child’s teacher in Term 2. If you have any questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

NAPLAN

During Weeks 7 and 8, the Year 5 students completed their NAPLAN assessments.  We are very proud of the resilience, effort and positive attitude they demonstrated during this time. 

ATHLETICS DAY

Athletics Day on Thursday 19 March is a highlight of the term - a fun-filled day of track and field events where the students get to challenge themselves, support their peers and celebrate their achievements.  Well done to everyone who participated.

SHOWBIE

We are excited to have Showbie up and running. Students have begun uploading work they are proud of, and families can now use this platform to stay connected with their child’s learning. Showbie allows you to securely view assignments and see teacher feedback, helping to further strengthen the connection between home and school.

As the term draws to a close, we look forward to two more weeks of continued learning and achievement.
