In Grade 4 this fortnight we have been working on writing procedural texts. Students have been exposed to different reasons why we write these texts, such as recipes and routines. Students learnt about using verbs, adverbs and time connectives when writing procedures and why these words are important when communicating a set of instructions with someone.
In Numeracy we have learnt about measuring temperature, the instruments we use to measure temperature and the unit used to measure temperature in Australia. We discussed how we use temperature to determine what time of the day certain activities can take place and why temperatures differ across different parts of the state and country.
In our Wellbeing and Inquiry sessions we continued to focus on unpacking the school values and how we can ensure we are upholding and modelling the 4 school values at all times.
