Level 3

Literacy 

In Literacy, students have continued to grow and build their research skills as they develop their knowledge about their chosen neighbouring country. It has been wonderful to see students proudly share their learning and goals during our recent 3 Way Conferences.

In Writing, students have loved exploring the mystery door and using their imagination to create their own short bite size writing piece. We have been focusing on awesome word choices and experimenting with different writing devices, including similes and adverbs, to make our writing more descriptive and engaging. It has been fantastic to see students getting creative and building confidence in their writing!

Maths 

In Maths, we have been learning about elapsed time and applying our skills to real life situations. Students have been helping Miss Regan plan her (imaginary!) trip around Australia’s neighbouring countries by working out travel times, schedules and how long different parts of her adventure might take. Who knows, maybe Miss Regan really will make the trip one day!
