Term 3 highlights:

Victoria Police Visits

Students enjoyed several visits from the Victoria Police, where they learned about youth safety and the importance of making positive and responsible choices. The sessions provided students with opportunities to discuss different situations and consider ways they can make safe choices in their everyday lives.

AFLW Player Talk

Students were inspired by a visit from AFLW players, who shared their experiences and spoke about the importance of women in sport. The session encouraged students to think about perseverance, teamwork and following their passions.

Aths Day/District Aths

Despite the rain making an appearance on both days, our students showed great resilience and enthusiasm at Athletics Day and District Athletics! We are incredibly proud of everyone who participated and represented our school with fantastic sportsmanship.

Literacy Day/Book Week

Students celebrated their love of literacy through exciting Book Week dress-ups and a range of engaging Literacy Day activities. We were also lucky enough to welcome author Andrea Rowe, who shared her experiences and inspired our students as readers and writers.

Hooptime

Students had a fantastic time participating in Hooptime, demonstrating their basketball skills, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day. It was wonderful to see students encouraging one another and proudly representing our school.

Reading

In Reading, students explored the book How to Bee by Bren MacDibble and used the novel to develop their understanding of different texts and perspectives. They also stepped into the role of journalistic writers, creating their own news articles about a future problem.

Writing

In Writing, students explored both narratives and poetry, experimenting with different language choices and writing techniques. They worked to create engaging pieces that captured their ideas and connected with their readers.

Maths

This term, students have explored a wide range of mathematical concepts, including cartesian planes, fractions, decimals, percentages, statistics and BODMAS. They have developed their problem-solving and reasoning skills while applying their learning across a variety of engaging activities.
