Foundation

The Foundations have had a wonderful time of learning and growing this Term! It has been awesome to reflect on progress and exciting events that have happened in Term 3. We are also looking forward to welcoming the Foundations back to school in Term 4. We hope you have an amazing spring school holidays!

Phonics

In Phonics, the Foundations have been continuing to learn and practise our /ch/ /sh/ and /ng/ words. We have also been revising sounds that we do know and practising our tricky words.

Literacy

In Literacy, the Foundations have been looking at 'The Trees' by Victor Steffensen and 'How the Birds Got Their Colours' by Mary Albert. We have been discussing Aboriginal lores, culture and dreamtime stories.

Numeracy

In Numeracy, the Foundations have been revisiting number and place value. We have been working on practising counting forwards and backwards with different games. We have also been working on our place value skills using MAB.
