What a fabulous Term 3 we have had in Grade 4!

Please don't forget that this Friday is Sports Day Lunch and parade with a 2.30pm finish!

Reading

Our Book Club sessions have been a great opportunity for students to share their love of reading and get stuck into some fantastic books. Students have been taking on different roles within their groups, sharing their ideas, asking questions and discussing characters, events and important messages in their books.

Writing

Students have been developing their ability to research, organise information and explain how and why things happen using precise language and diagrams. It has been great to see students become more confident in sharing what they know and turning their research into engaging explanation texts.

Mathematics

Students have been consolidating their learning in targeted areas of mathematics, focusing on developing their understanding and accuracy. They have been revisiting key skills, addressing individual areas for improvement and applying their mathematical knowledge.

Inquiry

Grade 4 students have been busy designing their own websites as part of our Inquiry into Australia and its neighbouring countries. They have been researching different countries and looking at the similarities and differences between them, including geography, culture, landmarks, people, lifestyles and interesting facts. They have then been using their research to plan and build their own websites!
