Fern House

Hey guys, I'm Elaha and I'm Fern's Year 11 SRC.

As an SRC, I look forward to planning our school's events and engaging with my peers about things they want to see happen. Being an SRC has allowed me to further my knowledge and understanding of what it means to be a good leader, and it has provided me with opportunities to showcase these lessons. These opportunities include working together with all the other SRCs to plan school events such as our Swimming Carnival, Athletics Carnival and Chorales, as well as working within our House to organise fundraisers for our House charity, the Victorian Afghan Association Network.

Athletics Day was so exhilarating, seeing not just Fern House, but the whole school come together to support one another, showing sportsmanship while competing for first place. Whilst we didn't win, we did amazingly well coming third, and I want to thank everyone who participated, dressed up and helped on the day!

Chorales was no different, with our House coming together and uniting to perform in front of families, judges, the Principal Class, staff and fellow students. I’d like to deeply thank everyone who participated, not just in Fern's choir, but throughout the school.

This term has been very chaotic and busy, especially for our Seniors undertaking the GAT, exams, finishing up Unit 3 and beginning Unit 4. However, I hope everyone has enjoyed this term and I hope everyone has a fantastic break!
