Model United Nations

The opportunity to participate in yesterday’s Model UN was such an incredible experience. Being part of the event, representing a country, and engaging in diplomatic debates was both exciting and empowering.

I found it especially fun to be able to challenge other countries' positions and think critically about global issues in real time. The whole experience has made me even more enthusiastic about international affairs and diplomacy, and I would love to be part of it again.

Model UN was genuinely one of the best events I’ve been to so far. I’ve never done anything in relation to debate or politics, however, I think that this was a stepping stone for me to contribute in more events like this. As it was my first time attending, preparing my research, position statement etc was a bit difficult but definitely worth it in the end. All the other schools were collaborative, and had really good statements as well.

I’d definitely recommend Model UN to everyone who pursues interest in it.

I couldn't recommend Model UN enough. It's helped me learn more about diplomacy and current world issues. It's through Model UN that I improved my public speaking and grew more confident in myself and my ideas. This program has helped me build new friendships and improve existing ones. As well as this, I now know what I want to study after high school and what field I want to go into. This program has allowed me to meet so many amazing, experienced individuals such as the Secretary Generals who have given me advice on how to get into the United Nations. I would also like to take this time to recognise Miss Zahirovic's efforts and dedication into organising, planning and executing these events for us students. Even when there are bumps along the road she ensures everyone is alright and resolves any issues we face. It's teachers like her who inspire students to go beyond their comfort zone and explore new things. And it's her patience and resilience that pushes students to complete the work, explore possible careers and interact with new people. On behalf of all past and present members of Model UN, we thank and appreciate everything she has done and continues to do.

Last time was such a fun challenge! I learned so much about public speaking, teamwork, and thinking on my feet - it’s honestly one of the best things at school!

Year 11 Business Management Excursion

The Year 11 Business Management students attended an excursion as part of the MCR program. They visited the Commonwealth Bank, where they had the opportunity to interact with mentors and actively participate in a range of activities designed to enhance their understanding of the business. Throughout the day, students demonstrated excellent behaviour both on the bus and at the venue. They showed genuine curiosity by asking thoughtful questions and engaging in meaningful conversations with the professionals. A highlight of the day was the chance to hear directly from industry mentors about their career journeys and insights into the banking world. At the end of the session, students also provided genuine feedback to the business and expressed their gratitude for the opportunity.
