State CSSA Netball

Term 2 Week 10

This year marked an exciting milestone as our College entered an Open Boys team into the CSSA State Netball competition in Sydney for the first time. We also proudly took our 15 & Under Girls’ team, both teams representing the College with skill, spirit, and sportsmanship.

The Open Boys team showed outstanding teamwork, going undefeated through their seven pool matches. In the semi-final, they faced our sister school, Dubbo Christian School, and came away with another strong win. In the Grand Final, they led by two goals at half-time against a strong Green Point team. Despite a hard-fought match, a few errors in the final minutes saw them narrowly defeated. The boys can be incredibly proud of their performance, unity, and the way they conducted themselves both on and off the court.

The 15 & Under Girls also impressed, playing with great energy, encouragement, and praying before each game. They won several games convincingly and earned their place in the semi-finals. After a tight first half, they rallied strongly but just missed out on a grand final spot in an exciting and close game against Green Point. Their resilience and sportsmanship were outstanding. It really was a thrilling game to watch! A special thank you to Mrs Vidler for her excellent coaching and leadership.

We are also very grateful for our talented umpires, Hannah and Sophie Buchtmann, whose commitment and service contributed so much to the day.

Well done to all involved – we are proud of your efforts and achievements!
