Hot Chocolates for a Great Cause

Term 2 Week 10

What a fantastic day of community, kindness and cocoa!

Thanks to a wonderful team of staff  - Mrs Curline, Mrs Sobolewski, Mrs Joiner, Mrs Doven, Ms James, Mr Chapman - along with our dedicated High School students and amazing Year 6 Leaders (Max, Matilda H, Marley V and Meav), we served hot chocolates to every Primary student from Kindergarten to Year 6.

In just one hour, over 250 hot chocolates were made and served with care! Whether it was pouring the drinks, adding marshmallows, collecting donations, or delivering to classrooms, everyone played an important part. Special thanks to Mrs Alcorn for generously providing the cups, lids, and marshmallows, and to all who supported behind the scenes.

Kindergarten and Year 1 students had their hot chocolates delivered to them just before lunch, while Year 2–6 students lined up outside the Year 2 classrooms to enjoy theirs after eating their lunch.

Together, our students raised:

  • An impressive $350!

These funds will go directly to Ronald McDonald House Wagga Wagga, supporting families with children undergoing medical treatment. Just $160 covers one night of accommodation for a family, and $20 helps provide a comforting home-cooked meal. We’re proud to say our efforts will fund two nights’ stay and a meal - an incredible achievement!

If you would like to help us reach our extended goal of $480, additional donations can be made at the College Office or online at the following link:

Thank you to all families who contributed to this meaningful cause. What a beautiful example of our College community in action!

Blessings,
