Term 2 Week 10
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
As Term 2 comes to a close, thank you for your continued partnership.
It’s been a busy and productive term, with many highlights beyond the day-to-day learning.
A standout event was the Secondary Trivia Night, organised and hosted by our capable student leaders - Captains Brenna and Bailey and Vice-Captains Roseanna and Brendan and the Student Leadership Team - who raised funds for the local Special Religious Education (SRE) program.
Year 9 students and families supported the night through food sales, contributing to their upcoming Tassie excursion. It was a fun evening and a great learning experience for our students.
Sporting achievements have also been a highlight, with teams in cross country, netball, volleyball, and soccer progressing to state-level competitions. Congratulations to individual athletes like Luke (Year 11) and Zac (Year 12) for their personal achievements.
Students have responded well to reminders about wearing the uniform with pride, reflecting our school values of respect.
Uniform Reminders:
Years 7–10: Sport – Mon & Fri | Formal – Tues–Thurs
Years 11–12: Sport – Mon | Formal – Tues–Fri
This term, we’ve focused on entering each class with an “intention to learn” and the value of “sustained effort.” We’ve seen this in action through sporting success, writing competitions, Da Vinci Decathlon, and the C4W Leaders program.
We also see this in classrooms as students work hard to improve and grow. Sustained effort looks like persistence, practice, asking questions, and pushing through challenges - something worth discussing as a family.
Reports will be released via the Compass app later this week. We encourage you to discuss these with your children - celebrating effort and identifying next steps. Questions about specific subjects can be directed to the subject teacher.
