Committee 4 Wagga Graduation

Term 2 Week 10

Year 11 Students Graduate from School Leaders Program

Congratulations to our Year 11 students - Samantha, Callum, Shemaiah and Boadicea - who have recently graduated from the Committee 4 Wagga’s School Leaders Program.

Alongside 12 other students from across Wagga Wagga High Schools, they have spent the past few months engaging in a program designed to grow confident, community-minded leaders through seven leadership modules.

The graduation evening was a celebration of their learning and growth, with each student delivering a short speech reflecting on a personal highlight of the program.

  • Callum spoke with depth and sincerity about the importance of personal values, family, heritage and embracing one’s uniqueness.
  • Samantha shared powerful insights on the value of trust, using her experiences  - including being at the top of a tower at Kapooka - to explore what truly matters when ‘walls crumble’. She challenged the audience to consider: What are your values and who do you want to be as a person?
  • Boadicea brought laughter and wisdom, discussing how we often make assumptions when facing challenges, and how adaptability, risk-taking, and empathy are vital. She described her leadership journey as “blooming like a fungi” as she continues to boldly grow.
  • Shemaiah rounded out the evening with a succinct and thoughtful address, referencing C.S. Lewis, her cultural heritage, the artistry of henna, and her personal leadership shield. She spoke passionately about the importance of growth, vision and courage in leadership - all grounded in her Christian faith.

We are incredibly proud of these students for embracing this opportunity with enthusiasm and integrity.

We look forward to seeing how they apply their leadership and learning within our College community.
