Science Week

Winners are grinners

Wonders and winners!

Science Week was a vibrant and engaging experience of discovery for students of all year levels. This year’s Science Week featured a wide array of endangered species-focused activities, each tailored to spark curiosity and encourage hands-on learning.

Highlights of Science Week:

  • Awarding prizes to the marionette puppet makers - you really transformed the basement and earned your well-deserved prizes
  • Awarding Mandela House a Woolworths gift card for winning the karaoke competition
  • Awarding PCG L7 a Coles gift card for winning the PCG quizzes over the week
  • Awarding Amelie Leedman a 250g "chocca the quokka" for winning the Science Escape Room
  • Awarding students prizes for both the Forensics and Spaghetti Bridge challenges during Open Day
  • Students attending the "Whale Snot", cryogenics and DNA lunchtime practicals we had on offer
  • Students attending the endangered species incursion we put on after school on Thursday

Thanks to the generosity of nearby businesses, we were able to reward our top contributors with some fantastic prizes. A big thank you to Officeworks, Perth Mint, Margaret River Chocolate Company, Boffins Bookstore, Woolworths and Coles. And a huge thank you to the Science Department for going above and beyond with making Science Week 2024 truly spectacular!
