Bullying? No way!

During Extended PCG lessons this fortnight our Year 7 and 8 cohorts welcomed Justin from Bully Zero. www.bullyzero.org.au 

Year 7 Presentation: Understanding Bullying 

Our students were provided with information on bullying, the different types of bullying and its impact on others. We also went through a variety of strategies to help them assess and respond to bullying situations, whilst also identifying and understanding the role of bystanders.

Year 8 Presentation: Thrive

The focus of the Thrive presentation was on encouraging individual ownership of behaviours. Discussion encouraged our students to recognise the impact of their choices on both themselves and others.

Silent Disco

The Year 7 Silent Disco was once again a hit. With the assistance of our Year 12 leaders (Isla, Linus, Will, Sadie, Alicia, Audrey, Hamish, Azeva) Level 4 was transformed with balloons, streamers and coloured lights and became the perfect space to hold the event with the city lights clearly visible through the windows. 

With three channels of kid-friendly music to choose from, everyone found a tune to dance to with their friends. Pizza and drinks was a fantastic way in which to conclude the social event. 

Our students should be commended on their enthusiasm and the positive way in which they embraced the fun of the evening.
