Annual Open Day

Last Friday's Annual Open Day was a joy to witness. I extend my gratitude to our exceptional Heads of Department and Subject Coordinators for crafting interactive experiences for our students. From Technologies students participating in an annual Game Jam with the theme "Twins", to English students participating in the "Write a Book in a Day" Competition, to Year 8 Science students applying their newfound forensic skills to solve a crime scene – there was a plethora of activities to delve into!

Special thanks go to Mr Michael Heath, our Head of Science, for organising an engaging Science Week. With the timely theme "Species Survival – More Than Just Sustainability" and numerous interactive activities in the Basement, it was a grand celebration of the promising future of STEM.

Year 12 Legendary Learners

Over the course of Weeks 7 through 9 this term, leading up to our Examination Break period for Year 12 students, the Laurence Library will be open on selected days after school until 7:00 p.m. During these hours, ATAR teachers will be available to run revision seminars for upcoming examinations. Additionally, this setting provides an ideal environment for APEx students to work on their final assessments. We strongly encourage all Year 12 students to take advantage of this opportunity.

Year 11 Subject Selection

Our Subject Selection Team has had a wonderful time meeting individually with each of our Year 10 students to discuss their desired pathways and subject choices for Year 11 in 2025. We commend our students for asking insightful questions to help guide their decisions. The next step in this process is the construction of next year's timetable. Year 10 students will be notified about the outcomes of their subject selection choices at the end of Term 3. We encourage all students to continue focusing on meeting the prerequisites for these courses during their Semester Two studies.

Year 12 Mock Exam Timetable

Please find below our Year 12 Mock Exam Timetable. The exams will be held at the same location as our Semester One exams, at 10 William Street (CQU).
