Aussie Explorers

The Prep classrooms have been buzzing with excitement as we launched our new Integrated Studies topic, Aussie Explorers. We began our journey by reading Alison Lester's much-loved book Are We There Yet?. Inspired by the family's adventure around Australia, students shared their wonderings and asked thoughtful questions about our country, its people, wildlife and the amazing places waiting to be discovered. 

Throughout the term, we will follow the family's journey as we explore Australia's states and territories, discover iconic landmarks, learn about our unique native animals, and uncover what makes Australia such a special and diverse country.

We are also looking forward to our excursion to Healesville Sanctuary next week, where students will have the opportunity to see many of Australia's incredible native animals up close and deepen their understanding of our amazing wildlife. 

100 Days Older, Brighter and Smarter!

Our Prep students recently celebrated an exciting milestone – 100 Days of School! It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on just how much they have grown and learned since their very first day of school.

Many students came dressed as if they were 100 years old, and the costumes were fantastic! There were plenty of grey wigs, walking sticks, glasses and lots of laughter as our "100-year-olds" filled the classroom.

To celebrate being 100 days brighter and smarter, students enjoyed a fun-filled day with games, activities and special treats. It was a memorable day celebrating all of the learning, friendships and achievements that have made their first 100 days of school so special. We are so proud of everything our Prep students have accomplished and can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings!
