Wakakirri – Performance Information for Families

The excitement is building as we count down to our Wakakirri Performance on Friday 14 August at the Frankston Arts Centre. Our students have been working incredibly hard, and we can't wait to share their amazing performance with our school community.

Costumes

If your child is required to bring costume items from home, please ensure all items and costume bags are clearly labelled with your child's name. Costume bags can be brought to school from Monday 3 August so they are ready for our whole-school dress rehearsal on Wednesday 5 August.

If you are having difficulty sourcing any costume items, please contact Peta Murray as soon as possible so we can assist. A detailed Costume Look Book, along with character lists and costume requirements, has been shared via Compass and is attached to the Wakakirri Newsfeed.

Performance Day

On the day of the performance, students will attend school as normal before travelling by bus to the Frankston Arts Centre for an afternoon rehearsal. They will remain at the venue for the remainder of the day before performing at 7:15 pm.

Students will need to bring:

  • Suitable stage footwear (runners or sneakers)
  • Plenty of food and water for both lunch and dinner (no heating facilities will be available)
  • Any required medication, handed directly to Peta Murray at the school office before school

Following the performance, students must be collected by a parent or carer from the designated collection point at the theatre. There will be no return bus to school, and performers must remain for the entire show.

Tickets
