2026 Concert Band Tour
Sharing the joy of music across Phillip Island
Our Concert Band has enjoyed an incredible tour of Phillip Island, filled with outstanding performances, new experiences and plenty of fun along the way.
Despite some wild weather, students delivered fantastic performances at Newhaven Primary School, Newhaven Kindergarten, Phillip Island Early Learning Centre and San Remo Primary School. The younger audiences enthusiastically sang, danced and joined in, with the unforgettable “whoosh!” from the San Remo Primary audience becoming a definite tour highlight.
Away from the stage, students enjoyed a visit to the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, where Mr Adorni-Dickson recorded the fastest lap, closely followed by Teo Valle and Darby Rowles. There were plenty of laughs at ten-pin bowling, with Vihas Wasala impressing everyone by scoring over 100 in his very first game.
The group also explored Cowes, enjoyed some welcome sunshine and even managed a quick visit to the beach. The much-anticipated Penguin Parade was another highlight, giving students the opportunity to experience one of Phillip Island’s most iconic attractions.
And, of course, no Band tour would be complete without Soli’s famous chicken parmis!
A huge congratulations to our students, who represented Wangaratta High School with outstanding musicianship, enthusiasm and professionalism throughout the tour. We are incredibly proud of the way they shared their love of music with the Phillip Island community while creating wonderful memories along the way.
