Tradies Toolbox Roadshow

Inspiring Students to Explore Trade Careers

We were excited to welcome the Tradies Toolbox Roadshow on Thursday 14 August, organised by NE Tracks LLEN, giving our students a fantastic opportunity to explore career pathways across the regional trades sector.

The roadshow brought local tradespeople, employers, apprentices, and training organisations directly to our students, providing valuable insights into the wide range of opportunities available in the skilled trades and the pathways to get there. Students also took part in a dedicated Women in Trades workshop featuring Master Builders Victoria (more on this to follow).

As part of the day, eight lucky students received workbooks sponsored by Master Builders Victoria, presented by Ovens & King Builders director Lachie Gales and his apprentice, Jack Kelly, a former Wangaratta High School student and Apprentice of the Year. 

We were pleased to welcome Veronica Larkin from Master Builders Victoria, Councillor Harvey Benton and NE Tracks LLEN CEO Tim Oliver to the event.

A huge thank you to all our exhibitors and industry representatives for sharing their knowledge and experiences with our students.

And a special shout-out to the Lions Club Wangaratta, who made an incredible 150 bacon and egg rolls to keep our students fuelled! We greatly appreciate their generosity and support.
