Year 9 CLC Excursion Season

CLC Semester 2 Adventures Are Underway!

It’s been a big fortnight for our Semester 2 Year 9 Community Leadership Challenge (C.L.C.) cohort as they continue their seven-week excursion season!

The group kicked things off at Bounce in Wodonga, taking on trampolines, climbing walls, slam dunk rings, the foam pit and air track. Their positive interactions with younger children even earned praise from several parents who were impressed by the way our students included and accommodated the little ones.

Since then, the group has explored the beautiful Lake William Hovell, hiking to Slater’s Creek, completing team challenges and cooking traditional damper over an open fire. This week, they headed to Buffalo Boulders in Myrtleford to take on some indoor bouldering.

With five more excursions still to come, there’s plenty more adventure ahead before students begin their all-important Community Volunteering in Term 4 — continuing a proud 20-year W.H.S. tradition of kindness, leadership and giving back to our community.
