Kingston Youth Awards - Young Citizen of the Year

Last week Year 8 student, Kala won the City of Kingston's Young Citizen of the Year award.

She was in the finest company of young people from local schools who are contributing phenomenally to our local community. Kala's most proud achievement is setting up blind tennis locally and paving the way for access to blind sports generally. Her excellence and participation at school was also mentioned. When Kala accepted the award she thanked her teachers for their support.

Congratulations Kala, what an outstanding achievement.
