School Council News
As we race towards the end of Term 3, it’s been a whirlwind of activity and achievement here at our school. Let’s take a quick tour of what’s been happening:
Last week, our Year 9 students took a deep dive into Melbourne’s urban landscape with the much-anticipated City School. From navigating the city streets to uncovering hidden gems, our students got a taste of life beyond the school gates and built some fantastic memories along the way.
Meanwhile, our Year 10s were out in the workforce for their Work Experience week. This was an invaluable opportunity for them to roll up their sleeves and get a real sense of various professions. Whether discovering a newfound passion or realising that some careers aren’t quite the right fit, this experience was all about exploring possibilities and gaining insight into future paths.
Next term marks a crucial milestone for our Year 12 students as they currently tackle their practice exams this week before Term 3 ends, with preparation in full swing and both students and teachers putting in their best effort. These practice exams are a stepping stone towards their final assessments.
On Monday 16th September, we held our Parent Student Teacher Conferences for Years 7-10. It was a busy day for our staff, but a rewarding one filled with meaningful discussions and collaboration.
As we approach the end of Term 3, it is important to remember that the upcoming school holidays will be a key period for VCE exam preparation. This time off offers a valuable opportunity for our wonderful students to focus on their studies and refine their strategies for the upcoming exams. We wish all our students and their families a productive and refreshing break, and we encourage everyone to use this time effectively to gear up for a dynamic and successful final term of the year.
As always, a big thank you to everyone for their ongoing support and dedication. Here’s to a strong finish to the term and an exciting lead-up to the final stretch of the school year!
