As we approach the end of another term, the wellbeing team would like to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for your ongoing support and partnership. Your involvement and encouragement make a significant difference in our students' educational journey.

Important Announcements

  • Wellbeing Week: We are excited to announce that Wellbeing Week will take place in week 2 of term 4. This will be a wonderful opportunity for our students to engage in activities that promote mental and emotional wellbeing.

Celebrations

We have had a vibrant end to the term filled with activities focused on mental health and engagement:

  • R U Ok? Day: We celebrated this important day with a coffee van for staff before school, and a Dandee Donuts van at recess for both staff and students. It was a delightful way to foster community and conversation.
  • Headspace Booth: During lunchtime on R U Ok? Day, our students had the opportunity to engage with representatives from Headspace which allowed our young people to chat about their mental health in a friendly and informal setting.

  • Metro Trains Workshop: Our Year 9 students participated in a workshop on Rail Awareness & Safety Education, preparing them for their City School week.

  • Institute for Social Neuroscience Workshops: Over the past four weeks during pastoral care, our Year 11 VM class benefited from workshops focusing on stress management, performance anxiety, mindfulness for performance, and creating routines for consistent performance.  These were facilitated by 2 sports psychologists from ISN who support the St Kilda Football Club at the Danny Frawley Centre.

These activities highlight our commitment to fostering a supportive and enriching environment for our students.

As we continue to focus on the wellbeing and academic growth of our students, please keep an eye out for updates regarding upcoming events and initiatives in the new term. Your involvement is key to our success!  Together, we can create a nurturing environment where our children can thrive.

Thank you for being an integral part of our school community.  We look forward to what the next term will bring!

Warm regards
