Merry Christmas and thankyou!

Wow, I can't believe we are almost at the end of the year. As usual it feels like 2025 has flown by! There are so many things to be grateful for this year, despite there being some incredibly difficult and sad losses and challenges as well. As I reflect on 2025 I think about our incredible staff, students and families. Thank you to everyone for all that you have brought to the BPS community.

The tireless dedication, hard work and commitment of the staff, to not just teach the children but to provide so much more to the wellbeing of each student. To those staff who are leaving either for other jobs, maternity leave or a change of pace, please know you will be missed. I particularly want to express my sincere gratitude to Andrew and Marianne for their unwavering support of the Chaplaincy/wellbeing role and me personally. We will miss you Andrew and the incredible leader that you are. Thank you for giving your all and always going above and beyond. We wish you and your beautiful family all the best.

This term we also started running Breakfast Club again and I want to thank all of our amazing volunteers from The Shed Door Ministry in Mitcham and One Community Church across the road for making that possible. It is such a great opportunity to build community, have fun and connect over some toast, hot chocolate and a board game.

Another huge thankyou to all of you, our incredible students and families for your generosity in supporting the Christmas Drive for 2025. So many of you took the time to buy either food items or gifts to donate via One Community Church One Care program. Carly Cassidy, our previous school chaplain who runs the One Care program wanted to pass on her sincere thanks to everyone for giving so generously.  Yesterday Carly and one of the volunteers helped deliver some of your donations to families in the community. Also a big thanks to Michelle Fabris for a lot of work helping organise the Christmas drive on top of her very busy schedule of teaching.

Overall 2025 has been another special year for BPS. I feel so grateful to be a part of the community and journey alongside everyone. I wish our beautiful grade 6 kids all the very best as they end their time at BPS and enter into life as a secondary student. They have been such a fantastic group and a pleasure to get to know. Well done families for getting through this year and I hope and pray that the summer season will be full of building special memories and hopefully some well deserved rest.

Please reach out over the holidays if you or your child have need of support. My mobile is 0409559059. Merry Christmas to all of you and thankyou!
