English News!

The English Domain has made a strong start to the year, with students across all year levels engaging thoughtfully in their writing. 

In  Junior School, students have been exploring creative writing, experimenting with vocabulary, language features and different text structures to craft engaging and imaginative pieces. It has been wonderful to see students developing confidence in expressing their ideas and finding their individual voice.

Senior School, are focusing on text response, with students working diligently to refine their essay writing skills. Through close analysis and structured practice, they are building their ability to construct clear, thoughtful and well-supported arguments.

Our Year 7 and Year 9 students are also preparing for their upcoming NAPLAN assessments. In class, they are consolidating key literacy skills and building confidence in reading and writing tasks to ensure they feel ready to approach the testing period positively.

We look forward to seeing students continue to grow as writers as the term progresses.
