Junior School Report

Welcome Back!
We are excited to welcome all Junior School students and members of the Scoresby Secondary College community to the start of the 2026 school year. The year has begun with energy and positivity, and it has been wonderful to see students settling into their classes and reconnecting with friends.
Our Year 7 students began the year with enthusiasm, navigating their two-day induction program where they collected lockers, set up devices, reflected on goals, and began forming new friendships.
Year 8 and 9 students quickly settled into their learning routines, reconnecting with peers and teachers. Year 9 students, in particular, are enjoying their combined electives, demonstrating agency in their learning while developing specialised skills and deepening engagement.
We are looking forward to an exciting year of learning growth for our Junior School students and continuing to celebrate our school values: of focus Pride, Excellence, and Respect.
Students demonstrating these values are recognised through Green Chronicle posts and assemblies. It has been wonderful to see the upward trend in students being awarded these posts.

Parents and caregivers are encouraged to check diaries regularly and discuss “What went well?” to reinforce positive learning habits.
For communication:
- Classroom teachers – for matters regarding classwork
- Homegroup Teachers – for attendance and general queries
- Junior School Leaders – for broader concerns
Upcoming Events
