Level 4

Production

As the term comes to a close the Year 4 students are celebrating yet another term filled with learning and fun. We are concluding a unit on angles with students able to recognise and measure angles. We have learnt how to use protractors, how to estimate and measure. 

In Literacy we have had a focus on Persuasive texts. Students researched a topic of choice then wrote a persuasive piece which they were able to publish on the computer. Our typing speeds are improving through regular touch typing using computer programs like Dance Mat Typing and Typing.com. We recommend regular practice  for students to improve their skills.

The highlight of the past two weeks has, of course, been the Production. Last Monday we spent the day at The Round for our final dress rehearsal. The excitement was amazing to see and hear. After all the work the children had put in, we were about to experience the fun! 

The year fours did an amazing job with their song, 'Piratical Style'. They were enthusiastic and sang with great gusto. Every time they sang you could tell they were enjoying themselves. Just look at the smiles on their faces! Not only that, their cooperation and behaviour was exemplary. We were very proud of them, as I am sure you were.

We hope that you all enjoy the two week break from school. If you and your family are going away we hope you have a safe and enjoyable trip and come back feeling refreshed and ready for another term of great learning.
