Level 2 

2KH

Level 2 are pleased to welcome Sally Rochford to the team who will be teaching 2KH until the end of the year.

Literacy

Our students have been learning about how we can use inspiration from the texts we read in our own writing. Throughout our reading sessions, we have explored concepts such as cause and effect, chain of events and having characters make multiple attempts at solving a problem before succeess. They have used what they have learnt to plan and begin writing their own narratives, utilising these concepts.

Numeracy

We have focused on time in Maths over the last two weeks of term. First, we looked at analogue clocks. We learned the difference between seconds, minutes and hours and how to recognise times on a clock such as o'clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to. The students are eager to practise what they have learned at home and demonstrate their new skills to their families. This week, we have shifted our focus to reading calendars. Students have learned the order of months, the number of days in the different months, and how to find a specific day or date on a calendar.

Production

We are extremely proud of our students' performance during the school production last week. Level 2 was the only year level trusted with performing two different songs in the production, and they took this responsibility very seriously. They delivered an excellent performance and did a great job representing our school and the year level both on the dress rehearsal excursion and at the final performances.
