Mathematics
Students continue to work hard developing their knowledge of growing patterns. They are working towards using basic algebraic formulas to calculate terms in patterns.
In shape, students continue to investigate Cross sections and have been doing some hands on activities with playdough and clay.
Phones
Just a reminder that students that bring phones to school need to drop them off at the office as soon as they enter the school. They are not allowed to use them on the school grounds. If families could remind students about this it would be much appreciated.
Smoking Ceremony
To mark the beginning of Reconciliation Week, students and staff at Skye Primary School took part in a meaningful Smoking Ceremony. Led by a local Aboriginal community member, the ceremony provided an opportunity to come together, reflect, and show respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and traditions. The grade six students recognized the significance of the ceremony and some even liked the smell of the smoke.
