Cool competitors

This month August, eight MGSC students made the trip to Mt Buller to compete in the Mogul Ski World Victorian Interschools Snowsport Championships - a major event on the school calendar that blends competitive spirit with alpine adventure.

This annual championship brings together students from across the state, providing an opportunity for both recreational skiers and serious racers to experience high-level snowsport competition. This year, more than 8,000 timed runs were completed across a range of disciplines by students from over 250 Victorian schools.

Events included Alpine Giant Slalom, Slopestyle, Moguls, Ski Cross, Snowboard Cross, and Snowboard Giant Slalom - a thrilling display of skill and athleticism on the snow.

Our team showed tremendous resilience, determination, and school spirit throughout the competition.

A special congratulations goes to Sophie Cartwright, who delivered standout performances in both Snowboard Giant Slalom and Snowboard Cross, earning her a place in the upcoming National Championships. An outstanding achievement - well done, Sophie!
