Mock Interview Excursion

On Tuesday 26 August, our VCE Vocational Major students took part in an invaluable learning experience at Malvern Town Hall. As part of their studies, students participated in mock interviews with industry professionals from a wide range of fields, each aligned to the students’ personal career interests and aspirations.

The program gave students the chance to step into a professional setting, practice their interview skills, and gain firsthand insight into the expectations of future employers. Interviewers provided feedback on communication, presentation, and employability skills, helping students build confidence and refine their approach for real-world job applications.

Students represented themselves and the school with maturity and professionalism, and many came away inspired by the opportunities available in their chosen industries. The experience has strengthened their understanding of possible career pathways while reinforcing the importance of preparation and self-reflection.

We would like to thank the industry professionals who generously volunteered their time and expertise. As well as thanking the BGKLLEN for this fantastic opportunity for our students. A massive congratulations to our students for their enthusiasm and commitment throughout the day, all students overcoming their nerves to engage in positive interviews and gaining invaluable feedback from their interviewer.
