Principal's Report

Dear SEPS Families,

The Easter Hat parade is always a beautiful way to end Term 1, and this year did not disappoint. So many talented families produced incredible hats! It was great to also see students wearing hats that they had made in class with their teachers. The Easter Raffle was a big hit as usual. Thank you to everyone who donated chocolates to enable this to happen. Special thanks to our wonderful parents Julie and Katie for organising the raffle and delivering treats to classrooms from the Easter Bunny!!

ArtFest

It was heartwarming to see so many families, friends and visitors at our school last Friday, despite the inclement weather. The SEPS community was well and truly alive and thriving. We had a vision for the night, and Jo Hemmings worked her magic to bring it to life. I cannot thank our art teachers, the ArtFest planning team, our parent helpers and our amazing office staff for working like trojans to make this event happen. A special mention to our art teachers for the expertise they bring to their specialist subject, enabling our students to produce the outstanding quality of work that was on display in the JLC. We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did ... we already have ideas for the next one!

School Council

School Council held the AGM on Monday 23 March, where we welcomed new members and elected Office Bearers for 2026/2027. I would like to congratulate Danielle Saunders on her new role as our School Council President, Danielle Johnsen as Vice President and a very big thank you to Olivia Darcy for continuing as Treasurer. School Council welcomes new parents Kim Brewer and Danielle Johnsen, and staff member, Michael Day onto council. We look forward to a great year ahead with this fabulous group of committed SEPS community members. We would like to thank once again our outgoing members Patrick Purcell (President) and Sean Chapman for their time on School Council. Their professionalism and expertise will be sorely missed.

Staffing

We are very sad to be farewelling Mr Davies for the remainder of the year as he takes extended leave. We will be welcoming Mr Matt Gardiner to our team at the beginning of next term. Mr G is known to many of our students from his time as a casual relief teacher. We know you will join us in welcoming him to SEPS. We wish Mr Davies all the best with his year ahead.

Wishing you all a wonderful long weekend and Autumn holiday break. Stay safe, enjoy the beautful Autumn weather and we will see you all back ready and refreshed for another busy term.
