What a fantastic start to the year it has been!
We would like to sincerely thank all of our students and families for a brilliant first term. It has been wonderful to see the students settle so quickly into their learning, build strong relationships and approach new challenges with enthusiasm and resilience. We truly appreciate the ongoing support from our families, which plays such an important role in creating a positive and successful learning environment for all. We look forward to continuing this momentum into Term 2.
We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe break!
And the winner (so far) is......

Our Reading Log challenge will continue into next term, with the overall yearly winner to be announced in Term 4. There is still plenty of time for all classes to build their reading stamina and catch up, so we encourage students to keep up their regular reading at home. It has been fantastic to see the enthusiasm so far, and we look forward to seeing even more progress as the year continues.
The Level 6 Challenge Cup was a fantastic success, with all classes demonstrating outstanding teamwork, enthusiasm and school spirit throughout the day. Students embraced the opportunity to compete in their chosen sports, proudly representing their class colours and supporting one another with great energy and respect. It was wonderful to see such positive participation and encouragement across all teams. Congratulations to 6B, who were crowned the overall winners and have earned the Challenge Cup trophy along with well deserved bragging rights for the term.

This term in Literacy, students completed our study of Boy Overboard by Morris Gleitzman. Throughout the unit, students explored how the author builds tension, develops character and conveys powerful themes. To conclude their learning, students were given the opportunity to choose how they demonstrated their understanding of the text. It was fantastic to see the range of creative and thoughtful responses, with students showcasing their knowledge in a variety of ways while making strong connections to the techniques and ideas explored during the term.
This term in Inquiry, students have been exploring the development of Australia’s government, from Federation through to how our system operates today. Throughout the unit, they investigated key ideas such as the reasons for Federation, the origins of Parliament, and the influence of the Magna Carta, as well as how laws are made and the different levels of government. To bring their learning together, students worked collaboratively in pairs and small groups to design engaging projects that showcase their understanding. It has been fantastic to see the depth of knowledge, creativity and teamwork demonstrated as students created informative displays to teach others about how Australia became a nation and how our government works today.
