Duke of Edinburgh
For the first time in over 5 years, EHS had students complete their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award. Our Year 10 cohort had four students finish this term. This involved volunteering in the local community, learning a new skill, and participating in physical activity for a period of 13 weeks. Students also got to participate in a 2 day adventurous journey at Wooglemai Environmental Education Center. All four are now completing their Silver Award!
Well done Ella, Katherine, Georgia and Charlotte!
House Games
The annual EHS House Games were kicked off this term with a knockout netball tournament. Students from each house competed against one another. Unfortunately the Lyrebird and Merino houses were knocked out in the group stage, with Razorback, Kookaburra, Bluetongue and the All-Star Teacher Team progressing into the semi final. The teachers defeated Razorback in extra-time, and Bluetongue displayed a strong performance against Kookaburra, progressing into the finals. However, Bluetongue were then unable to defeat the teachers, losing 13-4. Congratulations to the teachers, and good luck to each house for next term's Oztag House Games!
