Principal's Report

Welcome back to another exciting school term! It has been wonderful to see all our students returning with enthusiasm and a positive attitude towards learning. We are delighted to share that Term 1 has started on a high note, with fantastic participation in our Swimming and Athletics Carnivals. We were very fortunate with the weather, which provided ideal conditions for our students to perform at their best and enjoy these events to the fullest.

Our Year 7 students have had a smooth transition to high school and are settling in well. They now have the much-anticipated camp to look forward to, an excellent opportunity for them to form new friendships while enjoying a variety of fun and engaging activities.

I would also like to take a moment to formally thank our Parents & Citizens (P&C) committee for their dedication and hard work over the years. It is with regret that the P&C has decided to close due to declining parent attendance. The committee’s efforts have been invaluable, particularly in fundraising and contributing to important school decisions. The remaining funds from the P&C will be generously donated towards future scholarships for incoming Year 7 students. As a school, we are committed to strengthening parent consultation and look forward to engaging families at upcoming evening events.

Please be reminded that all students are required to have their phones secured in the Yondr pouches before the bell rings each morning. This policy helps to maintain focus and minimise distractions during learning time.

I would also like to extend a special thank you to Mrs Atkinson and Miss Last for their dedication in preparing our animals and students for the upcoming Camden and Easter Shows. Additionally, our CAPA faculty have been working hard with rehearsals for the Annual Musical, Mamma Mia!, which promises to be a highlight of Term 2.

Finally, this year marks our school’s 50th Anniversary! We encourage everyone to keep an eye on our school Facebook page for announcements and details about the exciting events we have planned to celebrate this milestone.
