Transition to High School - Year 4 Taster Day

During Week 9 and 10, Elderslie High School welcomed Year 4 students from our feeder Primary Schools to a “taste” of High School. Students from Spring Farm Public, Mawarra Public, Cobbitty Public and Elderslie Public Schools experienced a Day in the Life of a Secondary student. They participated in a Scavenger Hunt, Minute to Win It, Maths, Music, STEM and Language lessons. They also had a visit to our Agriculture Plot where the animals are always very popular. 

A HUGE thank you to our Year 9 and 10 school buddies who assisted with the groups and our Year 10 Future Teachers who led the Scavenger Hunt and Minute to Win It activities.

These students will be starting Year 7 in 2029, less than two years away. Hopefully our Taster Days will aid a smooth transition into high school.
