School Captains' Report

Wominjeka everyone, and welcome to our fifth and last School Captains' newsletter report of the term.

We can’t believe Term One is already finished! It has been an amazing start to the year, with lots of fun events such as Cross Country, Walkathon and the Swimming Carnival! And there has been lots of exciting learning for all year levels. Here’s some highlights from the past few weeks…

Firstly, students in Years Three to Six competed in the Cross Country event held at Buckley Park oval on Wednesday 25th of March. Congratulations to every student who competed, earning points for their house team. Gurrin, who got the most overall points, took away the victory and won the trophy! Also a huge congratulations to all the students who finished in the top six for their age group and made it to Districts, which will be in Term Two.

Recently, the Walkathon happened on Tuesday and it was a banger! Firstly we did a warm up to warm our muscles up to get ready to walk around the school, and secondly it was such nice weather that I (Ethan) actually got too tired to keep walking. Additionally, we also had the gauntlet. The gauntlet is where the Year Sixes swing the pool noodles around so you students could go and try to dodge them, and try to escape the pool noodles! Finally, we are sorry for having the Walkathon on Tuesday, it was supposed to happen on Friday but it was going to be windy, cold and rainy. So please accept our apology.

As we enter the school holidays, we would also like to give a huge shout-out to the Foundation students who have completed their first term of primary school. Well done!! We hope you have had an amazing first term and have been enjoying school!

We would like to wish everyone an enjoyable and restful school holiday. We’ll see you in Term Two!

Finally to finish off:

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.

From your School Captains,

Ethan and Georgia
